Another topic from the newsletter, that I promised to write about. Do say what you think!
Most people think that pit bulls are dangerous. If you read The Pit Bull Problem story from the download page now you know that they are among the most human-friendly dogs. Its not pit bulls that are dangerous but their owners ignorance. If people needed a license to own a dog only a few could pass the test. Its amazing how poorly informed some people are about their dogs needs. I see it every day. Keeping a husky in a city apartment, constantly carrying a dog or overfeeding them (or worse: giving them sweets) - these are common practices. What do you think? Should we have a license to be a dog owner?
my aim is not advertisement! Im just curious about your opinion!
An actual topic for learners of English at lower level: New radio stations replace the former ones - does it have sense?
ideas to discuss: Class FM - Neo FM - can the names refer to anything? - classical personalities at new stations? Why? Is it just good business sense to make the station popular? - wider variety of songs? Hungarian music industry may wake up?!?! - attitude towards the change in countryside and in the capital: different places with different interest? What do people prefer? more traditional songs in the country? more modern songs in the capital? What solutions can be for the differences? - stations with more songs and less speech: What is the radio about in general? <-> Trends have changed and funny personalities are part of a good radio.
And one more thing: I have never ever felt like a murderer after abortion. Never! But I made a promise to myself: it was the first and last time and no more whatever happens!!! It was a horrible feeling, believe me. And I dont regret what I did. Now I feel OK about it. Yet there is one thing to keep mind: can you bear another baby, and what happens if NOT? You would never forgive yourself...
